A standard portable shower unit is a self-contained shower stall inside a transportable cabin. It includes the shower enclosures with taps and showerheads, a system to provide hot water either a gas-powered instant water heater or an electric hot water cylinder, interior lighting, and ventilation. The floor is designed to be waterproof and slip-resistant, with a drain connected to an outlet so wastewater can be directed into a sewer or holding tank. Many units also have a small changing/drying area just outside the shower curtain or door, with hooks or a bench for convenience. Essentially, it’s like a bathroom on wheels that we deliver to your site, ready for use once connected to utilities.
Our portable showers come with built-in water heating. We have two main types: Califont (Gas) showers: These use a gas-powered instant hot water heater. You’ll need a gas bottle on-site, but the benefit is endless hot water on-demand, ideal for remote areas without electricity supply. HWC (Electric hot water cylinder) showers: These have an insulated hot water tank heated by electricity. They’re easy to use wherever you can plug into mains power.
We have units that range in capacity. Some are single-shower cabins, which are compact and good for small teams. Others have two or more showers in a single unit. For instance, a dual-shower unit might have two separate cubicles, and our largest could have three or even four shower stalls under one roof.
You’ll need: water, drainage, and power/gas. A water source either a mains water hookup or a water tank that feeds the unit, drainage, as shower unit’s waste outlet must go into either an existing sewer or to a grey water tank. We can supply a waste tank if needed for remote sites. For lights you will need power and if using a gas variation then gas for hot water, you’ll need gas bottles. The unit itself has standard plugs/inlets for these connections.
